Community Land Trusts enable communities to own the freehold interest in land or buildings in perpetuity. They are not for profit organisations and are principally used to build or acquire locally affordable homes for rent or shared ownership, for the benefit of the local community.

North Horsham Community Land Trust was formed on 8th January 2020, with the principal aim of providing truly affordable homes to rent for local people, living and/or working in North Horsham and its environs, and are supported by North Horsham Parish Council.

North Horsham Parish Council initiated the North Horsham Community Land Trust (NHCLT) through a series of meetings of a working party made up of Councillors and residents. NHCLT was established as an entity in its own right on 21st September 2021, all those Councillors who serve on it do so as individuals. The Parish Council maintains a link to the NHCLT through an appointed link Councillor who attends the meetings and reports back to the Parish Council.

Since the NHCLT set up as an entity in its own right, the Parish Council no longer holds the contact information that residents provided to keep informed of the progress of the North Horsham Community Land Trust. The data has been transferred to the NHCLT and is held securely and solely to keep those who expressed and interest in the progress of the NHCLT updated and to let them know about any forthcoming meetings. The information will not be shared with any other organisations or individuals. If you have given your details and wish to remove them from the mailing list please contact NHCLT.
