Mrs Pauline Whitehead

It is with great sadness that the Parish Council announces that the former Clerk to the Council, Pauline Whitehead, passed away on Wednesday 8th February 2023 after a short battle with cancer.

Alan Britten, Chairman of the Council “Pauline was a wonderful lady and was a joy to work alongside. She left the Council back in 2021 to pursue her passion for tutoring as part of the team at SLCC and it is a tragedy that this time has been cut so short. She will be sorely missed by staff and Councillors alike”.

Any condolences can be sent to Mr S Whitehead, c/o North Horsham Parish Council Roffey Millennium Hall, Crawley Road, West Sussex, RH12 4DT.

Queens Green Canopy

The Chairman of North Horsham Parish Council, Cllr. Alan Britten was joined by fellow Councillors for the planting of a tree at Holbrook Tythe Barn, as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative.

Cllrs Christian Mitchell and Peter Burgess represented Horsham District Council, who kindly donated the tree, in honour of the Platinum Jubilee of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Cllr Britten said “The passing of her Majesty was met with sadness across the country, but initiatives such as the Queen’s Green Canopy have continued as a lasting tribute to Her Majesty’s extraordinary service to her country and her people. I am therefore honoured to represent North Horsham Parish Council as we play our small part in this national scheme”.
