North Horsham parish has a wealth of green spaces and local architecture and design that gives this area a distinct character and makes it a great place to live and work. The Parish Council would like to make sure that where possible, the green areas that mean so much to the community can be protected for future generations and that when houses are built in the future, they enhance the character of the area and reflect what is already there. The Parish Council is working with Horsham District Council to designate the Parish as a Neighbourhood Plan Development Area with a view to producing a Neighbourhood Plan focusing on Local Green Areas and housing design. We are looking to work with local organisations, residents and other authorities to bring together a body of evidence on which policies will be based.
The Parish Council will have a stall at the forthcoming Community Event at North Heath Hall on Monday 24th April and there will be an opportunity to put your name forward to volunteer. There will be other announcements made regarding meetings and ways in which the Neighbourhood Plan is being progressed so keep a look out.
Please get in contact with us if you have any comments, questions or if you would like to get involved. This is a plan for your community and we want the community to be at the heart of everything we do.
