The government has introduced a new Plan-making system (The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026) and the District Council must start to prepare a new local plan, the Horsham District 2045.

At this very first stage of plan Horsham District are asking for your initial thoughts as to the issues that the new local plan for the District should consider, such as jobs, infrastructure, design and the environment and the types of homes needed.

This consultation is open for a period of four weeks, from 9am on 30 June 2026 to 5pm on 28 July 2026.
